TheDawn System Requirements And Review

This article is a review of the free third-person shooter game released by game developer LIMITED on December 11, 2020.

Unfortunately, it took me a long time to discover the game. I came across the game by chance on Steam on June 22, 2022, I started playing it because I liked it graphically.

I didn’t play the game with high expectations, after all, it was an indie game and it would be unfair to expect a big production.

There is a lot of language support

I was shocked that it supports 11 languages, mostly indie games support 1-2 languages. (After finishing the game, I’m not surprised why the language support is so much, the story ends in 1 hour, but still the good support).

The game also has Korean voiceovers. The voices are very appropriate and beautiful (I love Korean voiceover).

System Requirements

You do not need a very high-level PC as system requirements. It only works on Windows; obviously, there are also some optimization problems (but not too bad).

There are no settings in the game, such as any resolution settings or quality, so it will be good if your computer is at the recommended level.

Minimum System RequirementsRecommended System Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i3 3250 / AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHzCPU: Intel Core i5 2400 / AMD Ryzen R5 1600X

FREE DISK SPACE: 1 GBFREE DISK SPACE: 1 GB

for those who want to play with a Mac device, you should have at least 16GB of RAM and if you are using Parallels you should create an 8GB virtual machine.

I’ve tested it with the M1, it’s not as good an experience as it works on a local machine, but it’s playable.

Story and Review

There is nothing very important to talk about in the story, but let’s make a short introduction (no spoilers), artificial intelligence is surpassing human intelligence, using people like slaves and experimenting on them.

You are one of these subjects (the main character has the power to control time) and you try to escape with another subject named Max, but Max dies because you fail.

Then, to end all this, it presents a story where you and Max (we can hear with a device like a mind chip) try to get rid of artificial intelligence.

Maya, which we control in the game, has 3 special abilities that add vitality to the game and enable you to strategize.

The dialogues between MAX and Maya are good, and the occasional reaction of the main character Maya saves you from getting bored.

There is no variety of weapons, but since the story ends in 1 hour, it does not feel a lack. You are not looking for new weapons.

There is one boss fight in the game, it is not very difficult to pass, but it is a satisfying boss (the boss character design is good).

Space designs are average. They have some roughness and issues, but they’re not bad at reflecting the atmosphere.

The only bad thing I can say about the game is the feeling of hitting a gun. Yes, I didn’t really get what I was hoping for in terms of hitting feel.

If your reflexes are not good in the section before you come to the Boss, you may have a little difficulty.

From time to time, there are problems with artificial intelligence in the game. Don’t be surprised if your enemies suddenly stop hitting you.

The game is generally fun, enjoy the moment without waiting for much from the story, I left pleasantly.

Game Point: 75
